Village Renovation Project
The village renovation project is a project that brings a big impact to a small yet entire community. Villages in Armenia are picturesque, but often lack modern amenities, especially for children. ARC worked closely with the village mayors, teachers and parents to see what the needs are in their village and was able to complete small projects that greatly improve the lives of the children. The school buildings are not for school hours only, but often a place where children gather to play. ARC wanted to help renovate the school buildings to provide a better place for the children to spend their time.
School Renovation in Antaramej
In 2021, ARC partnered with UMCOR to complete a school renovation project in Antaramej. The school did not have an indoor bathroom for students to use. In the cold winter months, the outhouse was a freezing room and not safe for the children. ARC built a clean indoor bathroom, with running water, providing a sanitary solution for the children and teachers.
