Thank you all who came on June 6 and participated in our walk-a-thon. We are grateful for each one of you who participated in helping change the life of the Arakelyan family. and help lift them from a live of poverty to being on their way to self-sufficiency.
Thanks to your invaluable support, the event was a tremendous success and raised $16,575 which far exceeded our expectation. This will provide the Arakelyan family with running water, indoor bathroom and shower, a 5.8 KW solar system to provide electricity, hot water, and heating system for the entire house.
Additionally, we will able to construct a chicken coop with 50 chickens, the additional income from the eggs will elevate the family to above the poverty level.
Our first ever Walk-A-Thon took place on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Together, we walked the journey in their shoes to bring running water and build an indoor bathroom for the Arakelyan family in Pambak, Armenia.
This young family was able to recently move out of a domik and into a pre-fabricated home. However since there is no running water in their house, the children walk 1.5 miles each day to bring buckets of water.
They are very grateful for their new home, but we are dedicated to helping elevate this family out of poverty and into becoming self-sustainable.
