Kasakh Village – Humanitarian Aid

Tens of thousands of refugees from Artsakh have temporarily settled in Armenia proper. There are at least 50 families in Kasakh, Armenia. They are unable to return to their homes, either because their homes have been destroyed or they are from villages which are now under Azerbaijani control. So they are permanently displaced.

ARC assisted with providing for the essential needs of over 50 refugee families from Artsakh in the village of Kasakh. In December of 2020 ARC volunteers delivered much needed groceries, blankets and other daily necessities as well as funds for utilities and food to the designated families. ARC had made a commitment to provide the basic necessities of food, shelter and warmth for these families until a long-term solution is found. ARC volunteers worked alongside each individual family to help them rebuild their lives after the war.

There are many unknowns ahead, and rebuilding will look different for each family. But their immediate present needs could not be ignored and with your help, ARC worked on finding ways to elevate the lives of these refugee families. Supplies distributed were dried beans, rice, lentils, cooking oil, butter, condensed milk, pasta, cheese and coffee. Hygienic items were also distributed for adults and children.
